Amanda Benson Photography is really moving up in the business world! I have the most wonderful clients who trust me with such important memories......and I thank each and every one of you. My new improved website is in the works being designed by Shout it Out Design a company owned by a dear friend of mine, John Young. Believe me I do not want to up my prices, but I think I did pretty good about keeping them as low as possible still, but with making enough profit to build and improve my product. I do pictures for families, babies, children, maternity, sports, pets, senior portraits, and the occasional wedding. Below are prices for all the above except weddings. Please contact me for more information on special packages for those and other prices not listed below. All special editing for photos is free with purchase.

Two Sessions in One Day!

This past Sunday I had two shoots! Two wonderful shoots! Two beautiful young ladies! Emma and Taylor! Emma was in to have her three month photos taken and Taylor for headshots and other shots for her modeling portfolio. Days like Sunday are reasons why I love my job!

So sorry everyone that I have not updated my blog recently......My hubby finally is overseas in Afghanistan and the end of the school year kept me quite busy with my kids. I met little Gabriel when he was about 3 months old. This month (now 6mos old) he came with some of his family for some family portraits! My daughter is part of a wonderful cheer team........VIPERS! I was given this awesome experience of doing all the team photos and single photos. Arlie has had a lose tooth since before Christmas. This was his very FIRST one! So exciting! Last week it got very lose so I knew it wouldn't be long. Today while talking to Daddy on Skype in school while he is in North Carolina I put a string around his tooth (with his permission) and yanked it right out! Daddy got to see everything! This morning Ellie woke up and was all ready to go to dance class. Last week it was canceled due to snow and the weeks before it was closed for Christmas break. She got all dolled up in her pink leotard, tights, and ballet shoes (which is dress code), but then added little extras as she always does! We put her hair in a bun like we are supposed too, but she added the lip gloss! Picture Perfect opportunity to get my baby dolls' pictures taken!

Brenna and her family came over on Thursday for some portraits before Christmas and before her husband Charlie leaves to go overseas. I have known both Charlie and Bren for a long time and graduated high school with the two of them.......Not knowing they would ever end up married. Wow a Fall/Autumn wedding........GORGEOUS! Could I please get remarried in the middle of October? These fall colors just magnified how beautiful Alexis and Rudy were that day! Saturday morning we met Susan, Mike, and the kids out at John Bryan State Park. The leaves were color perfect and the rain from the day before had put a ton of color on the ground. Last week I was honored to take some "memory photos" for Grace and her family. They are wonderful people from my church and have been teaching my kids in Sunday School since we started back at Rocky Point Chapel. They are now moving from Ohio and going to Georgia. I have been very very busy lately....not just with doing weddings but because I of my volunteering for the Lady Knights in Enon. I am a JV cheer coach and not only do we have a cheer squad of 21 but we also have a dance competition team made out of 12 of those 21 girls. Wow I have been doing a lot of wedding/renewal ceremonies lately! I'm loving it though! I have the time of my life being a part of such special days where love and God are present. Brittany and Kyle are a air force couple and are stationed away from home and came back to Ohio to have a ceremony that they could share with their family and friends. Kyle is a AF firefighter and we were fortunate to have the WPAFB firefighters bring one of the trucks to be a awesome prop for photos. It was a blast! Ten Year Wedding Renewal on the Coast of Oregon

Wow its been a while since I have posted pics on here! The last week of July I flew out to Portland Oregon to be with two of my best friends. We drove to Depoe Bay which is on the coast of Oregon. There we stayed in a awesome beach condo and on Friday the 31st of July I got to be part of a beautiful wedding renewal ceremony. I have been very critical of the photos I took that day.....I think it is because I love Ashley, Wilkie, and their girls so much.......I want to give them the best. I spent six days with my friends.....got to go salmon fishing on a chartered boat........I had a blast and will remember this trip forever.

Yesterday morning I met my friend Verity and her little one, Zoe at Glenn Helen in Yellow Springs. I was so worried that it was going to rain and we wouldn't get the pictures done, but it actually turned out to be a great day for pics and the rain didn't start until after we were all done! Zoe has one cute personality and I had a ton of fun following her from rock to rock, flower to flower, and birds to bunnies! We let Zoe take over where she wanted to be and I think she did a great job!

Have I told you how much I love being here, home in Ohio? Well this photo shoot is just proof of that! My best friend from high school, Susan and I have been able to spend tons of time together since I came back home. In the midst of us having fun, talking about our days, crying through the bad ones together, and just being there for each other......I have been able to watch her children grow. This was Maddie's first birthday shoot! She was due to be born on my birthday but I guess she didn't want to share it with me! Just Kidding Maddie! I love my grandparents so much and I inspire to be like them everyday! I was asked to take some pictures for them and their website. They are such wonderful followers of Christ and their mission to serve Him is wonderful and powerful! They have touched so many people especially mine. Arlie and the kids brought me gifts in bed this morning, we had a lovely time in church, we shared a wonderful lunch with family at my mom's house, and my son scored four winning goals for his team at his soccer game! I was honored on Friday May 8th to be a part of of such a wonderful and beautiful day......Chad and Nay's Wedding Day. This was definitely a full circle life experience for me. Chad is part of my Okinawa family and Arlie and I haven't seen him since we left Japan in May 2005. Not long after we left the island he met a wonderful lady.....Nay. The coincidence here is she graduated from Cedarville College which is right up the road from where we are now. They currently live in WA but came here to get married in front of their friends and family......and of course we were here as well.....and I just so happened to do photos! Her Aunt April is a friend of mine who I met while in Okinawa....we just happened to be from around the same area here in Ohio....I am home and she and her family are still in Oki. Last night I had the hubby run out and pick up some treats for my sons' preschool class since today is their last day until after Easter (Spring Break). I was thinking some cute little cookies or something along that line. Well if you know my husband then you know that he does nothing "small"....he always goes above and beyond and gets the best of everything. I love him for it! He came home with these pretty bright colored cupcakes decorated with little Easter bunnies.....oh yeah.....with BUTTERCREAM frosting! He also got double of what we needed so of course we have some at home now to eat as well. Right now my daughter is eating her second one of the day! LOL! Anyway I took a picture just because they were so bright and colorful.....they were just downright pretty!

Oh how I love living in Ohio! Don't get me wrong, MN was a lovely place to live, but Ohio brings Spring earlier and Fall lasts longer.....two of my favorite seasons. So my business has started to really take off here in my home state of Ohio! I have been very fortunate to have wonderful friends and family here who support my goals and dreams.
